Head Swim Team Coach Kristin Abrams

Kristin Abrams comes to Linvilla with over 17 years of coaching experience. She has competitively swam at the collegiate level with Lock Haven University, and has experience coaching swimmers of all different skill levels. Her experience includes coaching age group, high school and post graduate level swimmers. She has taught swimming lessons for over 20 years, helping swimmers of all ages progress their swimming ability with each lesson. She believes that building a team dynamic that is both fun and competitive will allow all swimmers to achieve their goals both as a team and individually. She looks forward to working with the swimmers of the Knowlton Swim Club and cannot wait for the adventure, fun and winning to begin.

Assistant Swim Team Coach Angela Shicatano

Coach Angela is excited to return for another year as a Knowlton Assistant Coach! In the past, she competitively swam for over 10 years and began teaching swim lessons and coaching at just 18 years old! Coach Angela is also the Certified Knowlton and Hidden Hollow Lifeguard Trainer. In the off-season, she is a high school science teacher and the Head Coach of the Sun Valley Swim and Dive Team.  When Coach Angela is not at KSC, she likes to visit Chester Creek Trail, read lots of books, watch Disney Movies, and go to the beach!

Assistant Swim Team Coach Sonny Dicara

Coach Sonny recently graduated from Penncrest high school and is an alumni of this amazing swim team! He is currently attending West Chester University where he is studying Pre-Physical Therapy and on the schools’ club swim team. Sonny swam on the Knowlton team for 10 years and has experience coaching kids of all ages. While on the team, he started to stay after practice to help the coaches with the younger team members. He also works as one of Knowlton’s great swim instructors. Sonny is very excited to come back this year and help make the team even better with all the new and returning swimmers! When he is not at the pool he likes to hang out with his friends, play basketball. And watch movies with his family. Let’s go Knowlton!

Diving Director Jim Rightly

With over 60 years of experience as a diver, coach, and producer of High Diving Shows, Coach Jim comes to Knowlton eager to coach youth and share his knowledge, skills, and enthusiasm for the sport. Most recently, Coach Jim has served as Head Diving Coach at Penncrest High School. He has also served as diving coach at various swim clubs in Delaware County. Jim still actively competes in Master Diving Events at various venues.

Knowlton Dive Head Coach Olivia Truocchio

Liv Truocchio started swimming when she was 6 years old, but joined the Hidden Hollow dive team when she was 13 and has fallen in love with the sport. She dove on Penncrest’s varsity team all 4 years and was captain as a senior. This fall she’s going into her second year as a chemistry major. These days, she spends most of her time running around Ohio Stadium with the Ohio State University Marching Band. Her favorite dive is a 201B and can’t wait to work with everyone again this season!

Knowlton  Assistant Dive Coach Carson Chapman

Carson Chapman is joining the team as Knowlton's assistant coach and HH Diving Coach. She has been a member of the HH dive team for 10 years and a lifeguard for 6 years; she lives and breathes Hidden Hollow. She also dove for 4 seasons at Garnet Valley and was the team captain there in 2020. When not diving, she is a college student studying computer science. Her favorite dive is a back full and she is excited to be a part of the team!

Registration

Knowlton participates in the Delco Swim League.  Registration for the swim team must be done by following the link below.  Registration can not be done at Linvilla Orchards or at the Swim Club Office. Swim Team Members MUST be a current member to be on the team.  

Registration to Swim Team or Dive Team makes you eligible for both teams!

Meet Registration Instructions

• To enter your swimmer in JV and Varsity meets this season, please use the forms linked below for each meet.
• Through the form you can let us know which of your swimmers will be able to attend a specific meet.
• You must let us know that your swimmer(s) will be attending each meet otherwise we will assume that they are unavailable and they will not be added to the meet.
• For swimmers 13 and older, please do not register them for JV meets.
• For JV only swimmers (coaches will notify parents of JV only squad) please do not register your JV swimmer for varsity meets.
