What to Know

An annual trip to Pumpkinland has been a family tradition for generations of Delaware Valley residents.

Below you will find a list of our fall attractions and activities. Pick-Your-Own apples, Hayrides, Mazes, Apple Blasters, Train Rides, and Fishing all require pre-purchased timed tickets. Tickets are required for ages 1 and older. 11 months and under are complimentary.

Pumpkinland is open from mid-September through early November and takes center stage at Linvilla Orchards. See our piles of pumpkins in all colors, shapes and sizes — over 100 tons on display! Larger-than-life figures and scarecrows illustrate the legends and lore of the harvest season, featuring local history and some of the many stories of pumpkins and apples.

We do not do Pick-Your-Own pumpkins at Linvilla. Our Pumpkins are all pre-harvested and displayed in bins.

50th Anniversary of Pumpkinland - 2021!

Linvilla's matriarch, Peg Linvill (1930-2018), created a harvest display which was awarded first place at Philadelphia Horticultural Society's Harvest Show held at Fairmount Park’s Memorial Hall in 1971. That display was returned to the family farm and was set up in the pumpkin sales area.  This was the beginning of what we have come to know as Pumpkinland!

For fifty years, the larger-than-life figures and scarecrows on display have illustrated the legends and lore of the harvest season, featuring local history and some of the many stories of pumpkins and apples.

In 1983, again, with the guidance of Peg Linvill, the staff off Linvilla created “Peggy Ann” the World’s Largest Rag Doll in the 1985 Guinness Book of World’s Records! Visitors of all ages have delighted in seeing Peggy Ann and the other amazing creations in Pumpkinland each year.

The displays you see are hand-made each year by the incredible crew of Linvilla’s Art Department, which is now headed by Nancy Linvill Dole, Peg’s daughter.
