What to Know

Our Family Fun Fishing Derby provides younger and novice anglers an opportunity to experience the fun of our Fishing Derbies in a less competitive atmosphere.

Orchard Lake will be stocked with over 1,000 Rainbow, Brooks, Golden and Brown trout, which means that all participants will have a chance to catch that special fish. The lucky anglers who catch the first trout in their age groups* will receive a special trophy. Plus, there are tagged fish which can be caught to win additional trophies and other great prizes.

New for 2024 we will have Face Painting and a children's craft table set up at the pond!

No fishing experience or fishing license is required.  If you are a new angler and don't own your equipment; no worries we have your covered!  Rods will be available to rent and we have a bait machine on site to purchase bait.   Fishermen can take home their first fish, which is included in the price of admission; additional trout kept are $15.99 for fish over 2 lbs. and fish under 2 lbs. are $5.99.

You get to keep one fish with your paid admissions. Tickets are non-refundable 

Each additional trout kept is:
$15.99 for trout over 2 lbs.
$5.99 for trout under 2 lbs.

You are welcome to bring your own equipment or rod rentals are available for $4.99. Bait is available for purchase via our bait vending machine

Catch & Release

You can catch and release as long as the fish are okay. Alternatively, fishermen can take home their first fish, which is included in the price of admission.  Each additional fish kept are $15.99 for fish over 2 lbs.  Fish under 2 lbs. are $5.99 per pound.

Food & Drink

In addition to Linvilla’s normal food offerings, the Lakeside Grill will be open for breakfast, lunch & drinks.
