Sixty Seconds with Judi
In the 1920’s Arthur Linvill grabbed his horse and a scoop and dredged out the pond hidden in the hollow so the neighborhood families could have a decent swimming hole. That little swimming hole grew in popularity so much they needed to hire a life guard. By 1928 a board of directors was formed and Knowlton Swim Club was officially open for business.
In the 1960’s Knowlton had a 3-year membership waiting list. So, Arthur, along with his sons decided to build Hidden Hollow. With it’s state of the art design, regulation size lap pool, and a diving platform boasting at 10 meters high, Hidden Hollow quickly became a competitive swimmer’s and diver’s dream.
Now, here we are in 2018 with Memorial Day weekend approaching us. Linvilla Orchards will be opening their pool gates to local families for the 90th year! 90 Years! Think about this- Calvin Coolidge was President, Penicillin was discovered and Double Bubble bubble gum was invented. The world may have changed quite a bit. However, somethings still stay the same. Families love to spend their hot summers relaxing by the pool. These are precious memories we make each year and we are so thrilled to be a part of your family’s summer fun!
