Sixty Seconds with Judi

It’s here! You know that time of year that is supposed to be ringing with cheer and good will to all men. But, instead we seem to put ourselves into a frenzy of shopping and constant worry about what to buy Aunt Mary. Well I say STOP! Let’s slow down this year. Keep things simple. Let’s bring back tradition instead of trying to cram it into our schedules.

I have a plan this year and I am going to do my best to stick to it. First, it’s okay to say no! We don’t have to make every holiday party or participate in every secret Santa that we are invited to.

Second: Make a list and check it twice. Hey if it’s good enough for Santa, it’s good enough for me. I don’t have to buy for everyone. Again, and I will remind myself of this over and over, keep it simple! Let’s face it most of your friends or family would be just as happy with a small plate of cookies as they would be with another gift that they don’t really need. So write your list and stick to it!

Next, enjoy time spent with your family and friends. Start your own traditions; begin with taking the family out to cut down your own tree! What a lovely way to start your Christmas or holiday season. Enjoy the hayride, let the kids’ help you pick out the tree and then relax and roast marshmallows while we do the work of preparing your tree for you.

Now, I know this one is hard for some of you; let the kids’ help you decorate. The house does not have to look like professionals came in.

Remember to have fun! Crank up the Christmas music, bake cookies with the kids and visit the family. And if you still feel the need to buy for Aunt Mary remember, we are still here at Linvilla to help you find that perfect gift.

Cut Your Own Trees  Daily 9 AM to 4 PM

Enjoy a hayride out to the orchards to cut down your own tree.   Once you cut your own tree down (we supply the saw) we will haul it back for you, shake it, rope it up and even tie it to your car for you.  After your hayride back from the fields enjoy a campfire where you can roast some marshmallows.  **Last hayride departs promptly at 4pm**

Fresh Wreath Making Class  Saturday, Nov 26  /  10AM to 11AM

Make an elegant wreath and fill your home with the scent of fresh pine. Let our talented Garden Center Staff guide you through making your own beautiful wreath for the holidays. Greens and Frame included in cost.  Call 610-876-7116 to register.  Fee $30

Build Your Own Terrarium/ Fairy Garden Class  Saturday, Nov 26  /  11AM to 12PM

We supply everything you need to build your own beautiful terrarium. You can choose from a variety of containers and plants and our knowledgeable Garden Center staff will guide you through the whole process.   Add Fairy Garden Accessories (not included) to make your garden as unique as you are!  Call 610-876-7116 to register.  Fee $35
