Sixty Seconds with Judi
This weekend is the unofficial start of summer and after the long cold and wet spring we’ve had, it feels so deserving to know that we are rewarded with summer days.
Our moods will automatically change as we turn our faces toward the sun like the flowers in a field. Suddenly, our ovens are turned off and our grills are turned on. It seems almost funny that with a flip of the calendar page, the air will begin to smell of fresh cut grass, suntan lotion and chlorine. All of a sudden, our attitudes become more laid back and less stressed. I wish there was a way to bottle this season for those long days in the winter when the lack of sunshine seeps deep into our cold bones. Fortunately for us, summer comes every year like a gift wrapped with sunshine and flowers.
This weekend the Hidden Hollow Pool will open. Our days can be spent making memories with our families and friends. Those dog days of summer can be cooled by a brisk dip into the pool and a frosty water ice in our hands. Don’t forget your suntan lotion!
