As the fall season wraps up and the holiday lights begin to twinkle, Linvilla Orchards is excited to announce our annual Pumpkin Composting Program—a fantastic way for you to return your fall decorations to nature! Starting this weekend (10/27), we’ll have a special dumpster dedicated to composting pumpkins, corn shocks, and straw bales in our parking lot next to Pumpkinland. This eco-friendly initiative is available through Thanksgiving, so you’ll have plenty of time to join us in reducing waste and giving back to the soil.
How It Works
Simply bring your pumpkins, corn shocks, and straw bales to the designated composting dumpster at Linvilla Orchards. Remember, plastic trashbags and other non-compostable materials are not allowed—it’s strictly for organic waste. When you compost your decorations, they’ll break down into nutrient-rich soil that supports future plant life.
